Meet Barbara

For over 22 years, I’ve dedicated my life and career to helping individuals, families, and communities transform their relationship with money. As a seasoned personal finance expert, mortgage loan officer, and money coach, I’ve guided thousands toward achieving lasting financial peace and freedom—because I believe everyone deserves the tools and confidence to own their financial story.
My journey began over two decades ago in the mortgage industry, where I spent more than 10 years helping people make one of the most significant financial decisions of their lives: buying a home. That front-row seat to people’s financial challenges and victories ignited a passion in me—not just to help them secure a loan, but to help them build a life they love.
That passion led me into financial coaching and education. Over the past 15 years, I’ve coached individuals one-on-one, trained teams of financial educators, and developed impactful programs for Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and branches of the U.S. military. I’ve also worked closely with high schools, colleges, and nonprofit organizations—especially those serving underserved communities—because financial literacy should be a right, not a privilege.
Whether I’m speaking to a room full of corporate executives or facilitating a workshop for high school seniors, I bring real-life experience, practical strategies, and heart to the conversation. I’ve had the honor of being interviewed and quoted in national financial publications, and I’ve helped create and deliver coaching and educational programs that are now changing lives across the country.
But beyond the credentials, I’m a woman of color, an entrepreneur, and a proud member of the sandwich generation—balancing care for both children and aging parents. I understand the real-world financial pressures that families face, because I live them too. I also believe that personal finance doesn’t have to be intimidating or dull. I bring energy and authenticity to every interaction (and yes, I may dance a little between sessions!).
